From January 14th February 1st 2008 Fliegerstaffel 11 flying with the McDonnell Douglas F-18 Hornet and Fliegerstaffel 8 flying the Northrop F-5 Tiger II held their annual Wiederholungskurs (refresher course) at Meiringen Air Base in Switzerland (Meiringen is approximately 45 minutes drive from Lucerne and 30 minutes drive from Interlaken).
